Combat Activities all take place on the battlefield unless otherwise noted.

Archery Activities all take place on the archery range unless otherwise noted.

These schedules print best in landscape mode, although they may be printable in portrait mode as well, depending on your browser settings. In order to print in portrait mode you may have to set your page margins smaller than the default. Also, you may be able to use print scaling to get it to print better in portrait mode.

If you have difficulty printing the schedules, here are PDFs of a single page schedule with no explanatory text for combat activities, and a two-page schedule for archery activities.

Battles

Battles sponsored by the Brewer's Guild

Control of the Docks -- A two, three, or more, sided melee concerning the control of the docks of a town or city. Mayhem in the streets and homes, as each guild attempts to thwart the other for control of the ships and the docks. This could involve cannels as well as close-packed street and house-to-house fighting.

Riot in the Market -- Each group starts with small groups/mobs randomly dispersed across the field and must capture specific objective points. Once again a city fight, the only change being a single strongly defensible position that will need to be captured and held.

Battles sponsored by the Cook's Guild

Part One: Defenders of the Food -- It's the last days of a siege, and the fighting is currently centered on the granaries in the back of the castle. If the attackers can capture the granaries, the castle's food supply will take a massive hit and may fall all the sooner. Two 10x10 buildings with two doors each - 30 ft away from each other. Inside each building 5 large heavy bags of "grain". Defender victory conditions - stay alive for 30 minutes and retain any of the bags of food. Attacker victory conditions - steal all 10 bags of food out of the two granaries. Unlimited resurrections for the first ten minutes to simulate the defenders being weakened by hunger. Do it one way, then swap sides and do it again!

Part Two: Stop the Shipment -- The siege lines are weakened, and a load of grain is trying to make its way behind the castle walls. If the food can make it across the castle wall those starving behind enemy lines could get some relief and remain able to carry on fighting. There will be a pallet with four poles to carry the bags of grain. Two small partial fort areas on either side and one small median fort as a way-station. (10x10 in hay bales) One area designated at the bottom of the field as a well. (A 5x5 area - maybe marked out with hay bales) Defender victory conditions - carry the bags of grain from one end of the field to the other, preferably on the pallet. Must get at least one bag of grain across the field. You can re-steal bags of grain before they are thrown down the well. However, once the bag reaches the other side, it is considered across and can not be taken. Attacker conditions - stop the shipment and throw the bags of grain down the well before they reach the other side. Do it one way, then swap sides and do it again!

Battles sponsored by the Silk Road Travelers

Seige of Acre -- In this fighting scenario one side will be the army of Guy, waiting outside the castle gate. Another side will be the army of Saladin, inside the castle. Each army will alternately defend and attack the castle. In order to represent reinforcements arriving by sea, the attackers will have unlimited resurrections. Each side will defend Acre twice and the side that holds possession of the castle the longest will be the victor. Defense of Acre will be to the last defender with the time of possession to be cumulative.

Battles sponsored by the Bardic Guild

A short warm-up battle based on Song of the Shield Wall -- This will be a timed non-resurrection field battle, with troops slowly added to battle, and victory obtained by counting the living fighters when it's over. The field battle scenario is based on the songs Raven Banner and Boru. There is a Viking side and an Irish side. The Viking side has limited resurrections, and the Irish side has unlimited resurrections. This battle will be fought twice, with the armies swapping sides, so everybody gets a chance to be on the side with unlimited resurrections.

Battles sponsored by the Fiber Guild

Battle of the Pastures -- A battle scenario that pits the shepherds of the Mesta against mobs of angry villagers. 2 teams, 1 hour resurection.

Team 1: the Mesta Shepherds -- There will be 4 or 5 shepherds in charge of their own "flock". Each shepherd gets to choose 3 "dogs" to help defend their flock. Each shepherd can have up to 10 "sheep". Shepherd gets weapon style of their choice and unlimited Ressurections. Dogs get a spear / great weapon and unlimited resurrections Sheep get a single sword and can only resurrect after each 15 minute hold. Sheep can not move from resurrection point until herded by either the shepherd or the dogs.

Team 2: Angry villagers -- Each team of villagers is restricted to fighting around their designated pastureland. May or may not be unlimited resurrection, and may or may not have limitation on their weapons style.

Battles sponsored by the Fire Guild

Pillage THEN Burn -- Our valiant general will lead our guild into battle to take on all challengers in a battle to see who will manage to get out of the village before the burning occurs. Pillaging will be part of the scoring and retreat before "ignition" will be encouraged.

Tournaments

Head Cook Warlord Tournament

Who will reign supreme in the Kitchen Stadium? Each participant is allowed to bring to the table a one dagger (length meets SCA Standards), and one plate no larger than a buckler, and one food item of choice (again food item must meet SCA fighting standards). Participants will form into teams of two, one member must have utensils (plate, or dagger), the second member must have food item. Each team will face off against each other, Losers join the other team (tentative change)

Head Cook Warlord Tournament

Entrants must be sponsored by a fiber artist of some form. We define fiber artist very broadly. If you've even sewn on a button, you are a fiber artist.

Bardic Consort Tournament

Each fighter has a bard on the sidelines, armed with 3 beanbags. Before each fight, the bard would "announce" the fighter onto the list field, and insult the other fighter or the other bard. Pre-fight shtick will have a time limit! During the fight, each bard throws the beanbags at the opposing fighter. The fighter should take a blow for any beanbags that actually hit them: lose an arm, lose a leg, and a head shot would be a killing blow. Any fighters who wish to participate can bring your own bard, or one will be provided. (Tentative time)

New Fighters Tournament

sponsored by Lady Mairgreg ingen Chailtigirn

This tournament is open to fighters who have just authorized for the first time since last Lilies War.

Children's Tournament

All Fighters must be sponsored by a child in order to fight -- Start sucking up to the kids early, sponsorship goes fast and they drive a hard bargin
